Belford C.C. play in the Alnwick and District Cricket League. This year Belford
finished runners up in the second division to winners, Tillside, after being the
only team to beat them (twice).
Promotion to division one will mean a harder season, cricket-wise, but the
team can only give 100% effort, which they will.

The Royal British Legion Women's Section
"The Royal British Legion Women's Section, met for the last time in the
Legion Room, when the County Chairman closed their branch after sixty years faithful
service. Great work has been done in the Belford area by the Royal British Legion
Men and Women's branches. It will be a sad day for the few ladies who are left
to take their standard to the church to be laid up for safe keeping.
They thank the village of Belford for the support they have received over the
years.
Mrs Greta Martin (Retired Chairman)."
The U.R.C. magazine in 1995.
