How to set up the banners Please don't link directly to any of the image files above, as this will cause problems on our server. Instead, right-click on whichever banner you want to use and save a copy of it onto your own PC. Add the image to your web page, then upload the page and your copy of the image to wherever your site is hosted. Don't forget to make the image a clickable link and you may want to add 'alt' text too (see example below). Contact us if you need a different-sized banner and we'll try to provide one. A reciprocal link Whether you link to us or not, we'll consider you for a text link on either our Internet links page or our Town and Village Sites in Northumbria page! Just e-mail your details to us. We like to link to sites that provide extra information that benefits our visitors. We don't link to sites that have image-heavy pages that take more than 30 seconds to appear, confusing navigation, loads of ads, or Java applets that crash the browser. As our advertisers pay the bills, our policy is not to link to any site that mainly promotes one particular business or is in direct competition with our paying advertisers.
